The official Starbucks app continues to lead in its industry. It is one of the most complete tools that accompanies customers who usually buy their coffee in one of these establishments spread throughout the world. To the possibility of placing orders through the application, processing payments and controlling points, a new and interesting function is now added: power discover the songs that are playing in your favorite establishments.
The tool works as follows: when a song you like is playing, inside a Starbucks store, open the application and click on the music option. Immediately the app will show you the song being played in those moments in said place. A button will appear that will allow you to add that song to your Spotify playlist.
Indeed, this possibility, which works in a similar way to the «Shazam» app, is possible thanks to the collaboration between Spotify and Starbucks. The companies signed a multi-year affiliate agreement that will help Spotify grow its number of users, now that other services like Apple Music are on its heels.
It seems that this option will be available in United States for the moment. Starbucks has not announced when the international expansion of this service will take place, which, without a doubt, would greatly benefit Spotify.
