Much has been said about the Apple Watch since it was first introduced to us last September. We know that it will serve to measure our physical activity and to interact with our iPhone without having to take the latter out of your pocket. What we did not know so far was how we can access some functions such as, for example, access multitasking.
The Apple smartwatch is capable of perform various actions if we press the buttons twice. One of them is for the top button (if you are right-handed): we will simply touch twice the top side button near an NFC terminal to pay with Apple Pay. But there is a reddit user who shows us a better way, as shown in the following (a little blurry) gif.
The reddit user colinstalter realized this little shortcut existed:
Double-tapping the Digital Crown will switch you between the last two most used applications that you recently opened.
Is awesome. I discovered it in an Apple Store. This shortcut makes it really easy to switch between actions if you use multiple apps at the same time. It's also a super fast way to see your main watch screen if you've just been in an app.
Something very important in the daily use of the Apple Watch will be the interaction with the virtual assistant that arrived with the iPhone 4S, Siri, which we will now also wear on our wrist. To call Siri we will only have to press and hold the Digital Crown. A gesture that, without a doubt, is familiar to all iPhone owners.
Watching the video it seems that, as usual, Apple has returned to worry about the ease of use of one of its devices And the next device to reach the family, the Apple Watch, could not be different. To the possible functions that will surely come from the Force Touch, we have to add functions that are already familiar to us if we have an iOS device. One can only hope that Apple fix the (alleged) glitches that initially cause your smartwatch to perform poorly before its launch on April 24.
