This is why Siri for Apple TV is limited to eight countries

apple tv series

More than one Apple user has been surprised (and disgusted) by the fact that Siri for Apple TV is limited to eight countries on its initial release. This is a somewhat strange move by Apple, and more so if we consider that right now the iPhone voice assistant is available in 29 countries and its operation does not present any problem.

Siri for Apple TV is currently available in the following languages and countries: English (United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia), Spanish (only in Spain at the moment), alemán (Germany), French (France and Canada) and Japanese (Japan). Considering that Siri for iPhone is available in a greater number of territories, why hasn't the same happened with Apple TV?

As published by the medium Mac Prime, after conducting a series of interviews with managers who have worked on the new Apple TV, it's all due to "phonetic" reasons.

One of the main functions of Siri on Apple TV is help us find movies and actors, but unfortunately the titles of these films and the names of the actors vary phonetically according to the country in which we are, that is, an American does not pronounce "Titanic" the same as a Spaniard, for example. The situation is complicated if we take into account that in some countries the original title of a film is changed when it is translated into the local language.

From Apple they are already working to expand Siri on Apple TV for new territories as soon as possible.

We are always with the same ... who does not like that he does not buy, nobody is forced to buy a product !!! you do not like? do not buy ... I do not like any phone with android and I don't even think about buying it ... now to say that Android is dirt either, I just don't like it and I don't buy it !!! There are too many anti-Apple people and to me it sounds like "I want to and I can't and that's why I criticize." Don't waste your time ... if you want an iPhone, buy it and buy it, you'll be happier than criticizing, believe me

I want and I can not ?, an apple tv ?. Don't be ridiculous, it's the only thing you married people can say when they don't want to accept when the true brand shits it. Read well, the first one who wants and cannot is the one who says it first. Cute dreams
