Since the launch of the Apple Watch, many users have left their old Pebble in a drawer to adopt Apple's new smartwatch, since All the limited features that the Pebble offered us are available on Apple's Apple Watch. Through the jailbreak we were able to expand some of the limited features of the Pebble but many of those tweaks have been discontinued.

But, far from completely abandoning the Pebble, there are still developers who trust this device. Sawyer Vaughan has released a new tweak called TextSender by Pebble that expands the possibilities of the Pebble allowing us to send messages from the device, a function that previously we could not do, unless we had the line with one of the American operators that currently allow it.

Send text messages from the Pebble

Of course, this tweak is only designed for Pebble users who want to expand the possibilities of their Pebble smartwatch, as long as they have jailbreak on their devices. In this way we can answer the messages we receive without having to take our iPhone out of our pocket. It should be remembered that Android devices do not have any limitation in this regard and we can always interact in both directions.

Thanks to the TextSender for Pebble application on our jailbroken device along with the free Pebble application and the free TextSender for Pebble application installed on our Pebble (available through the Pebble store) we will be able to send text messages from the native iPhone app.

Requirements

To be able to make use of this new function in combination with this tweak we need to have at least version 3.0 of firmware on our Pebble. In addition, the Pebble application installed on our iPhone must be updated to the latest version, any previous version will show us the message "Pebble OLD VERSION".

TextSender for Pebble is priced at $ 0,99 on Cydia, a much cheaper option to expand the functions of our Pebble than having to change it for an Apple Watch to be able to respond from our smartwatch
