This is how Super Mario Run would be in freemium version

A few days ago I told you that Nintendo was beginning to ask some players of Super Mario Run about the price they would put on Super Mario Run and on possible new versions of the game. And it is that, that Nintendo has decided to mark this new, and expected, Super Mario Run with € 9.99 as it is something that not everyone liked. Yes, we can download it for free from the Apple Store but we will not be able to go from the first world if we do not go through the box. Yes indeed, once you pay, you forget about more payments.

And what do you want me to tell you, From my point of view this is a successWe forget to pay every time we want to advance as in many other games in the App Store, here we pay and we have the full game. Because, Can you imagine what it would be like to have a free Super Mario Run with micropayments? ...

You just have to look at the image that heads the post, a image created by a Twitter user in which we see some screens that could perfectly be those of Super Mario Run in a game mode freemium. Yes, we would not have to pay, but we would pay to advance levels, get Toads, race with friends…. And not only that, do you remember all that people who sent you invitations for Candy Crush every day? Well, given the impact of Super Mario Run, it would not be strange for your social networks to be flooded with ads inviting us to interact with Super Mario Run.

So now you know, download the new Super Mario Run, Try it at least and decide if it is worth paying the € 9.99 it costs to unlock all the content of the game. From my point of view it was worth it, and it has been worth it, so if you don't like the game just delete the app, to leave us the possibility of trying those first three levels.

I understand that Nintendo must make some profit from the development of the video game. It seems logical to me. Now, perhaps the problem is not that the game is paid or not. After all, there are very good games out there that are paid. Maybe the problem is in wanting to charge € 10 for a game that just doesn't deserve it… Maybe if the cost was more in line with the level of development of the game (€ 3 maybe?) Then it wouldn't have garnered so many criticisms.

After all, how many games are in the App Store that cost that? There are, yes, but what graphic quality do they have? Are they worth it? What criticisms do they have or user ratings do they get?

I understand that piracy is a problem (although this with iOS is somewhat more complex and not so common I think). Some time ago there were no sites with paid AppStore applications published in order to install pirated software ... However, we are in the same case that happens with the cinema. How many people complain about the cost of a movie ticket? And how successful is it every time the movie party is held and the price drops to 1/3 or less of the usual cost? How many people go then? What assessment do people make in those days? What benefits do movie theaters get? Perhaps if the price of the product was according to its quality, people would be more happy to pay for such a game and it would not get such bad evaluations.

Perhaps Nintendo has failed to find the balance between price / quality. And possibly they would earn much more if they lowered the price to 1/3 of its current cost. Possibly there would be four times the sales and they would still make more profit. But hey, it's your respectable decision. For my part, I haven't even bothered to download the game. It doesn't give me anything.

Amen to the previous comment. The reason for the complaint or discussion is not to pay for the app, but the price in relation to the development of the game. I would pay a maximum of € 4 for the game after having tried it.
