This year's iPhone will be $100 more expensive

A new leak reveals some of the features we already knew about the next iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and confirms our fears: they will be $100 more expensive.

Anthony (@TheGalox_) has published on his Twitter account very relevant information about the next iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max, and if we take into account his history of leaks and success rate, we must pay close attention to which he tells us:

In his tweet he gives us some specifications of the next iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, some of them obvious, such as the A16 Bionic processor or screen sizes (6.1 for the Pro and 6.7 for the Pro Max), AMOLED type and with refresh rates of 120Hz. It also specifies the RAM (8GB in both models) and the different storage available (128, 256, 512 and 1TB).

The first "new" data is the capacities of both batteries. While the iPhone 14 Pro will see its battery increased from the 3.095mAh of the iPhone 13 Pro to the 3.200 mAh of this iPhone 14 Pro, the largest model, The iPhone 14 Pro Max will keep a 4.323 mAh battery compared to the 4.352 mAh that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has. It is an almost negligible reduction, but perhaps the most important thing is the reason for this reduction, some internal component that causes it?

There are also changes in the cameras, with a main 48 Mpx, while the other two will have 12 Mpx. This change is important, since the main module of the iPhone 13 has 12 Mpx, so the increase in camera resolution is striking. What has already been anticipated for weeks on the “Always On” screen is confirmed.

And a detail that users are not going to like: price increase. The tweet ends by indicating the prices of the next iPhone 14 Pro, and there is a $100 markup on both models which will cost $1099 for the Pro and $1199 for the Pro Max. The question that remains for us is how Apple will reflect this increase in other countries, but at least we will have to prepare €100 more to be able to acquire the iPhone this year.
