After launching the option subtitles In 2021, the app is expanding the list of languages for automatic subtitles and real-time translation features. Great news for all of us who are addicted to the app.
Hoping to lower the language barrier to bring entertaining global content to more users, TikTok is introducing a new subtitle generation and translation tool for all users who speak the following languages: English, Portuguese, German, Indonesian, Italian , Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and Turkish.
TikTok for iOS also incorporates translations for video captions and descriptions, which will help users enjoy content on the platform beyond its original language. The app also translates the embedded text of the videos, to facilitate viewing for all users.
TikTok plans extend these features to more users and languages in the coming months. With these features implemented as of today, it may take a few days for you to receive the update of said application on your iPhone, obviously depending on the country where you live.
