Tim Cook and Eddy Cue attend the annual Sun Valley conference

Last week we told you how the current head of services, Eddy Cue, auctioned a meal at the new Apple Park to benefit the United States Basketball Coaches Foundation. These auctions are becoming popular among the great spheres of the business world such as Apple.

During this week the Sun Valley Media, an annual conference funded by the private Allen & Company and independently organized. The event has been in the works since the 80s and they congregate annually in Idaho great political figures and business leaders as Tim Cook and Eddy Cue.

For many media outlets, the Sun Valley Media is  Summer Camp of great entrepreneurs such as the CEOs of the most important companies such as Tim Cook (Apple), Jeff Bezos (Amazon) or Anthony Noto (Twitter). Although the meetings that are held are completely confidential, some details reach the press such as the possible purchase of Yahoo! by Verizon.

We also know that the Sun Valley Media accredited press asked Tim Cook on whether the rumors of the next iPhone 8 were true or not. When asked, the CEO of Apple simply replied: Good Morning.

Large pacts were signed at this conference, such as the purchase of YouTube by Google in 2006, and many others that have marked the useful life of companies in the country. One of the characteristics of this conference is based on the great communicative power of companies and, above all, of the mass media.

In the case of Apple, it is not in itself a means of communication but in recent months we are seeing how the way you transmit content is transforming to users, a reason why Tim Cook, Apple CEO, and his co-worker, Eddy Cue, attended Sun Valley. Other years Apple also had a presence at the conference but, this year, it seems that their involvement in the event may be greater.
