Just yesterday I was talking about a tweak that allowed two more clocks to be placed on the lock screen to be able to check the time of the city where your family lives or why not, simply by knowing what time it is in the United States (for example). This tweak is called WorldClock7 and it is located in the repo of BigBoss for $ 1.50. But today we will not talk about the lock screen clock but about one of the most interesting tweaks that I have seen in terms of security: TimePasscode. This tweak means that at each hour of the day there is a different lock code. For example, if it is 10:23, the password to access the iPad will be: "1023". Let's take a closer look at this fantastic tweak.
Your iPad's security ensured if no one knows that you have TimePasscode installed
The first thing we need is to install the tweak; To do this, we access Cydia and search through the search engine «TimePasscode». The tweak can be found from free on the official BigBoss repo. To download TimePasscode, click on "Install" at the top right of the screen and do the respring that Cydia asks us to do.
As I have told you, the mechanics of Passcode are simple: the lock code of our iPad will be the time we want to unlock the terminal; for example, if it's 11:00, the unlock code will be 1100. Our iPad will be safe if nobody knows about the existence of TimePasscode.
Once we are in the Settings, we can modify some parameters from this fantastic free tweak:
- Allow True Passcode Unlock: For TimePasscode to work, it is necessary to have a lock code activated on the iPad and therefore, we will have to set a custom code. If we check this button, we are telling TimePasscode that if we enter that personalized code we can also unlock the iPad.
- Reverse Time Passcode: Instead, we can set higher security with this button. The code will not be the time but the time from right to left; if it is 10:23, if we activate this button the code would be: 3201.
Therefore, this tweak provides us a lot of lock codes for every minute What happens. Enjoy the security that TimePasscode offers!
