We have been using iOS 6 for a long time, soon we will see the first beta of iOS 7, the news that the jailbreak has brought us this year we have already seen for the most part and Auxo has been the great winner of the year (despite the fact that it consumes a lot of resources and presents incompatibilities with other tweaks). For some time now, the tweaks that we are seeing are very simple, nothing essential, but they are always things that can be useful. Yesterday we saw the PadClock tweak to configure the alarm in a different way (numeric keypad), today we see something to take advantage of the screen a little more.
The tweak TranslucentStatusBar does what its name says, make the status bar translucent, but not in all applications, only in Safari. What do we get with this tweak? Okay, in theory to be able to see something else of the iPhone screen while we read in Safari. And I say in theory because after testing it I can say that it is not visible behind the status bar, if it seems that the screen is a little longer, but it is nothing more than an optical effect.
This tweak nor has an icon or adds options to the settingsIf you want to deactivate it, you will have to go to Cydia, locate it and eliminate it completely. I recommend using tweaks like Full Screen for Safari to take advantage of the iPhone screen while browsing, even if it is paid with this tweak you can hide all the bars to navigate full screen. And just in case I remind you that you can navigate in full screen if you place your iPhone horizontally while using Safari, arrows will appear expanding in the bottom bar and you can use Safari in full screen.
