Recording your iPhone screen can be very useful. Creating tutorials or reviews of applications for your blog or YouTube channel is very simple thanks to this new feature of iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, and without the need to use any of the expensive third-party applications that for very advanced users may be useful, but that for most iOS users does not compensate them at all. Procedure
The entire procedure is perfectly explained in the video, which is quite simple: Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to the USB of your Mac using the Lightning cable, run QuickTime and go to the menu «File> New video recording». By default, if you have never used it, the iSight camera integrated in your Mac will appear as a selection, but if you click on the arrow to the right of the record button you will be able to choose the screen of your iOS device. Once chosen, the screen will change and show that of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. To record you just have to press the red button.
By clicking on the arrow you can also choose other options, such as the microphone (the integrated one on your Mac or the one on the iOS device) and if you have a microphone connected you can also use it to create higher quality audio. You can also modify the quality of the recording.
Tips
Don't make quick app or desktop changes, or it will show in the video. Although the final result is better than what is seen live, small cuts may appear that do not fit well. It is also recommended that you remove the Parallax effect so that the wallpaper does not move, which is annoying to the viewer of the video.
