Trying to fix proximity sensor problems

One of the features that I like the most about the iPhone is its proximity sensor, but what iPhone 4 owners should not like at all is that the proximity sensor fails more than a fairground shotgun and things happen like hanging up the call with the ear, something that is to stay in a bad mood.

TiPb comments on the four essential things that must be done to try to fix it:

  • Reset network settings.
  • Reset all settings.
  • Turn off and on normal.
  • Restart with Sleep + Home (hard reset).

If all that does not work, plan B is to do a clean reinstallation of iOS 4, but not even with those can it be fixed. iOS 4.0.1 should fix it… when it arrives.

Since I have 4.0, the proximity sensor also makes me strangers when my 3GS did not do it before… I am clear that it has to be software….

Well, with so many different types of restart, IOS 4 seems more like a descendant of Windows than an Apple operating system ……… 🙂

trying to fix the errors that apple would have to fix if it weren't for the fact that its customers allow it since they consider any demand as an act of bad faith against the beloved apple

It suited me perfectly with version 4.0.1 and 4.0.2. But it has been updating to version 4.1, and suffering many problems with the proximity sensor.

The screen turns on and off intermittently during calls, no matter how close the iPhone is to my ear, and inadvertently I always end up pressing a button with my face that I shouldn't. I have tried restoring, but everything remains the same.

Is the same thing happening to you?

The same thing happened to me a couple of days ago, the screen of my iPhone 3G was not so sensitive, but I don't know what happens now, if someone knows how to adjust or lower the sensitivity a bit, they are very much appreciated.
