Game Center, the service dedicated to video games that Apple implemented in firmware 4.1, causes excessive battery consumption so if you do not use this social network, below you have a tutorial to be able to completely uninstall the application and that your battery back to what it was before the firmware was updated.
Previous requirements:
- iPhone with Jailbreak and iOS 4.1 installed.
- OpenSSH installed on your iPhone
- An SSH client for Mac (Cyberduck) or Windows (WinSCP)
Notes- It is recommended to back up the iPhone file system.
Tutorial:
- Connect the iPhone using the chosen SSH client (you need to know the IP address of the iPhone).
- Delete the following files (make a backup copy of them on your computer):
- Go to the route:
- Open the file N88AP.plist with a suitable editor and change the string:
- Restart the phone.
- usr / libexec / gamed
- System / Library / LaunchDaemons / com.apple.gamed.plist
- Applications / Game Center ~ iphone.app
System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app /

Each device has a different NxxAP.plist, example: on my iPhone4 it is N90AP.plist and my itouch4 is N81Ap.plist.
