Tweet7, a Twitter client in the purest iOS 7 style

tweet7-1

Although there are many iOS users who miss the look of the old iOS 6, the new iOS 7 is setting the trend, it is obvious. Apps are being redesigned to fit the new system, and there seems to be a competition to see who can get the app that most integrates with the flat, minimalist look of iOS 7. Tweet7 is a great example of this. A new Twitter client that boasts its similarity to iOS 7: «The Twitter client for iOS 7»Is how the developers themselves describe their application. And the truth is that they are right.

tweet7-4

The look is totally clean, no menu bars, no other unnecessary ornaments, just your Timeline and the button to compose a tweet is what you can find in the main Tweet7 window. An absolutely clean interface in which the important thing is the content, not the application, to the point that the images are seen in the same Timeline without the need to enlarge them, unless you want to see them in greater detail. The transparencies of iOS 7 could not be missing to achieve a look very similar to what a native iOS application for Twitter would be.

tweet7-2

Navigation within the application is done through gestures. On the right we find three bars in different shades of blue, which correspond, in descending order, to mentions, direct messages and your profile. Sliding from the right to the left in each one of them we will display the corresponding window. Swiping to the right again from the left, we will return to our Timeline.

tweet7-3

If we want to carry out any action with a tweet from our Timeline, we just have to click on it to display the options to reply, retweet, mark as a favorite and more.

¿Negative things about the application? Its simplicity, which for some may become its greatest virtue, is the greatest of the defects for which we need more than a Twitter application: it does not allow to configure several accounts, the display of direct messages is somewhat chaotic if you have several saved conversations, and the configuration options are almost anecdotal. It is therefore an aesthetically very well designed application (if you like iOS 7), but still with many shortcomings, especially for somewhat advanced users. Hopefully, as it is updated, it will improve some of these aspects.
