For just over 24 hours, the guys on Twitter have expanded the number of characters to 280, leaving aside the limitation of 140 characters that has accompanied us since the birth of Twitter. 24 hours, many users' favorite client Tweetbot just released an update, becoming compatible with the expansion of characters that Twitter has made.
The Tweetbot developer has always been characterized, at least in recent years, in being one of the first to update their applications to each and every one of the novelties that the founder of Twitter has been implementing in recent years, ever since he came back to the company as Jack Dorsey.
Tweetbot's developer has confirmed that still does not offer in-app support for taking surveysas Twitter has not released the public API for developers to implement. Tweetboot 4 requires iOS 10.3 or higher and is priced at 9,99 euros, although at the moment it is available for 5,49 euros, a price that also includes the version for iPad thanks to the application being universal, since Tweetboot version 4 was released.
But it has not been the only version that Tweetbot has updated, since users of the version of this application for Mac, a new update is also available which allows them to post tweets of up to 280 characters. Twitter began to roll out this extension in September of this year, and since then and due to the success it has had among users who have been lucky enough to try it, it has decided not to wait any longer and to offer this extension publicly.
Twitter wants to attract as many people as possible to the platform in order to expand the number of users in which it is stagnant, about 300 million, so this expansion may be what many users were waiting to cheer up.
