Usernames on Twitter are no longer discounted from 140 characters

The microblogging social network Twitter has become one of the tools used by many users due to the ease and speed with which we can share information. Unfortunately, the number of Twitter users is still stuck at 300-odd million users, figures that according to the latest data have begun to increase, although very timidly. The arrival of Jack Dorsey, co-founder of the company, has been a real revolution in terms of new functions, functions that are currently being very well received by current users but fail to capture the interest of others.

For a few months, videos and photographs no longer count from the total number of characters available, allowing us to express ourselves with the maximum number of them without being limited to adding images or videos. But so far the names of users that we added to a tweet were subtracted from the total of 140, limiting the intervention of more users in addition to reducing the content that we could express. But thanks to the latest update, Twitter has removed the names of the users from the total number of characters, so that we could say that they have been expanded.

What currently remains in contact in the tweets of the total characters are the links that are published in the tweets, something that at the moment does not seem to be eliminated. Twitter wants to add more attention to chained conversations, which are the main purpose of this social network and that allows us to be informed at all times with very few words that generally lead to a link to expand the information shown in the tweet. This new function is available for users of the web version and for all those users who use the official application for iOS.
