Update apps manually on iOS7

Act2

Apple with this new iOS 7 brings us a quite compromising feature which is the option of update apps downloads from the App Store automatically, so we will avoid having the icon marking updates in the App Store icon as happened until now but of course not everything is so beautiful since this it entails an extra cost of battery.

Here we come with another guide to be able improve the life of your battery a little more, this guide will consist of teaching you to disable updates of the applications of the iOS 7 Beta 2 appstore so that we consume less battery by not having to be searching for updates every two or three.

Many will say that it is better to have the updates activated and thus you do not worry about doing it manually even with higher battery consumption and others will say that it is better to have them deactivated so that the battery lasts a little longer, everything depends on the use you give to your device and the possibilities you have to connect it to charge.

Well, here we go with the mini guide since they are a couple of very easy steps to perform:

1- We access the adjustments of our device.

2-We go down to where it says iTunes Store and App Store and we press it.

3- We look for the section where it says Automatic Downloads and we deactivate the option Updates.

remove act

Performing these simple steps the battery will hold us something more time but we will have to update the updates ourselves as we have always done.

Personally and now that this new iOS is in beta phase, I recommend deactivating this new option since although from beta 1 to beta 2 the battery consumption has decreased notably, it still has some somewhat high consumption, against more services we can deactivate the longer it will last us battery in the betas. Apart from having this service deactivated, I also have the automatic download options for music, applications and books.

In any case, the automatic download does not work with mobile data, at least in my case, only with wifi, the functionality would be better with mobile data. All it does is leave the app disabled, it stays in "waiting" and does nothing. I had to disable it just for that.

In addition to for those who are just a bit of megabytes, especially at the end of the cycle, downloading the updates automatically can leave us stiff in that sense, when instead they can be downloaded manually when we get home or anywhere we have wifi, and those extra megabytes are not wasted.

The search is supposed to do the same as it does now, whether automatic updates are activated or not. And it usually updates when iPhone is on Wi-Fi and charging. What's more, in certain circumstances it would spend more battery with manual updates due to having to turn on the screen.

Not forgetting that there are updates so bad that you do not want to update but leave the version you currently have. So removing the automatically is a pretty good thing. For me a shit about having put the automatically but thank goodness that they can be deactivated. Without forgetting to block calls or messages, which I see absurd!
