While Google does not know what to do with the different chat and video platforms that it currently offers to users and among which we find Hangouts, Google Allo, Google Duo, Google Meet, the company's internal incubator, known as Area 120, has launched a new application called Uptime, only available for iOS and in the United States. This Google incubator is known for allowing company employees to dedicate 20% of their day to independent projects. Uptime allows users to enjoy all the videos that are being broadcast live at that moment through the YouTube platform or the videos that each user shares through the application.
Uptime is the new Google application for all those who love the YouTube platform, in which we can create a group of friends, with whom we can share our favorite videos in order to comment on them through the different options offered by this new platform. Every time one of our friends joins the video we are viewing, we can comment on it, add reactions, stickers and more. When one of our friends begins to view a video, it will be displayed in a progress bar which will allow us to join it to comment on it together.

According to the description of the application:
Uptime is a place to share and watch videos together with friends, no matter where they are. Share your YouTube videos in a simple way and give your friends the opportunity to watch them together, chat and have a good time.
Uptime works as a small social network, where users can follow each other, view your history, and share YouTube videos without leaving the application. At the moment, although it is available in the American App Store, not all users can use it. If you reside in the United States, you can download it through the following link and gain access using the invitation code PIZZA.
