For the iPhone we can find all kinds of games in the App Store, from those that are really similar to those of video consoles to others that seek less graphical excellence by virtue of a fluid and fun gameplay. I am more of this second group, and Vector is a perfect fit as one of the best games in this regard.
Shades
The first thing I liked about Vector was its aesthetics. Instead of trying to show us a world more in line with the one we see, what Vector does is bet on the backlight and the silhouettes, giving an excellent and magnificent result from my point of view to enjoy the game and its perspective over admiring other types of elements.
The game is clearly inspired by Mirror's Edge As for the dynamics of the chase, but he looks for another type of fluidity in the gameplay and above all he emphasizes something very important: the timing when executing the movements has to be perfect if we do not want them to overtake us sooner or later in the chase, so it will not only be enough to avoid obstacles but it must be done at the exact moment so as not to lose fluency.
Difficulty
While I really liked the game in its entirety, there is something that I think may cause people to stop playing it: its difficulty. The game starts in a simple way and it will not cost us to finish the levels, but instead of increasing the difficulty curve progressively, what it does is increase it all at once, so we will find that some levels are very difficult to overcome. when we haven't been playing that long either. This aspect is important, and is that sometimes a great game is worth nothing if the difficulty is not well adjusted later.
In any case with practice and concentration the levels they end up overcoming, and once we do it, we come out very reinforced and having gained a lot of synchronization in the movements. The game incorporates more than 100 different parkour movements, so it is up to us to choose well when to move our finger on the screen to execute them and enjoy a successful race avoiding being captured. It is not a typical game, but if you like games with a different and interesting perspective, I get the impression that Vector is indispensable.
