Well, after testing both the old and new build on iphone4 gsm. I come to confirm the following:
1.- For those who have their iphone released by the SAM method and saved their tickets (aka lockdown), these continue to work in 5.1.1 (I tried it on iphone 4 gsm but I think that the 4s tickets should also work, obviously in 4s).
2.- For users of Gevey Ultra or earlier (or similar), it also continues to work, here the only rule is that when updating to 5.1.1, you have to do it with a custom so that the baseband is not updated. This is where I recommend jailbreaking using the latest version of Sn0wbreeze.
Remember, this gevey or earlier versions will only work on baseband 1.59.00, 2.10.04, 3.10.01, and 4.10.01
3.- Also for users of Gevey Ultra or earlier (or similar), and are users of UltrasnowCN 1.6b5 (not to be confused with Ultrasn0w), it continues to work in 5.1.1.
Note: for those who do not know, UltrasnowCN 1.6b5 is a package for cydia, which makes the activation of the ultra or previous geveys (even clones) automatic, come on, it avoids dialing 112. (Look in google, and DO NOT ask for the .DEB aki, because I don't know where it is)

I am not understood but I have read that it is because itunes does not recognize that firmware compatible with ios 5.1.1. I think you should restore with a custom firmware without baseband signed with your 5.1.1 shsh.
