We already talked to you the other day about Virtual Home, a tweak that uses the fingerprint sensor of the iPhone 5s as a Home button, avoiding that we have to press it and therefore avoiding wear and tear and possible failure in the future, we already know that the Home button is one of the first pieces to suffer.
In our analysis we call it the Zephyr of iOS 7, that tweak essential what makes you unable to live without your jailbreak, not updating, not changing anything ... when you use an iPhone 5s without Virtual Home it is "less iPhone".
It must be recognized that when we try it there were small glitches that prevented it from being perfect, but now with the upgrade, have completely fixed.
To use this tweak as a Home button we will not have to press it, just by putting your finger on the sensor it will be the same as a button press. If we do a long press, multitasking will be activated.
Virtual home it does not exactly use the fingerprint sensor, it uses the metal ring that is around the button and that activates the fingerprint sensor, therefore it hardly consumes battery. I have checked it because it works with any finger in any position (only to use as Home, to unlock everything continues as usual).
Many of you have asked me worried about this reason and I can assure you that I do not notice a noticeable battery consumption with this tweak installed, just like before having jailbreak.
Another thing that made people think it was draining a lot of battery was that it worked even with the screen off, with what you suppose that it always stays activated. It actually only worked for a few minutes after you locked your iPhone, then it was disabled. Now you can choose to be always on, it is one of the improvements of the update, but it's optional and clarifies that it can cause excessive battery consumption.
Another novelty is that the tweak added vibration when pressing. Before when pressing you did not know well when to release the button, and sometimes multitasking was activated, now there is an option to add vibration when you have played long enough for it to be a press, so you will know when to remove your finger and when to leave it to activate the multitask.
This option is optional and also clarifies that it consumes some battery, but it is really highly recommended to leave it activated.
If you have an iPhone 5s this is a reason to jailbreak. You can download it free on Cydia, you will find it in the BigBoss repo. You need to have done the jailbreak on your device.

With the update I believe that the vibration is no longer necessary, now it is barely left pressed and it is already effective, before it took longer and you could go to multitasking. If the terminal is used a lot, the vibration will eat up the battery.
Doesn't it collide with tweaks that recognize your finger to open apps? Like biolockdown or bioprotect or something like that?

The problem is that it does NOT take preference loader, that is, everything is installed but not Preference Loader, we search for it by hand, and it does not appear as available either. What I have discovered is that, changing my Cydia user type, from "User" to "Hacker" when searching for it, IF it appears, otherwise it does not.

Has anyone else noticed battery drain? After this tweak I have not installed any more and I notice that the battery goes down faster than usual .. I do not have the vibration set. It continues with the bug that if you use the fingerprint for an appstore purchase, it stops working until a respring is made (I don't know if after X minutes without respring it works again)
Installed on a 5S and working perfectly. Of course, I had to uninstall CCQuick because if not, it did not work for me.
