There is a month to go before we know the news of iOS 13, watchOS 6, macOS 10.15 and tvOS 13, and little by little they are going away revealing some details about the main news that these new versions will include of the different Apple operating systems.
If a few days ago we told you how the iPad would be one of the great beneficiaries of iOS 13, or some of the novelties of macOS 10.15 that will be directly inherited from iOS, now it is the turn of Major Changes for WatchOS 6, the Apple Watch Operating System, and Other New Features in iOS 13. Bloomberg has unveiled them and we will tell you about them below.
New spheres and its own App Store
The Apple Watch will have its own application store. This means that the independence of the iPhone will continue its slow but unstoppable march, and now you will no longer have to have an application installed on the iPhone in order for it to be installed on the Apple Watch. We can install them directly on the watch, which means that applications specifically designed for the Apple watch can be created, and an example of this will be a good handful of native applications that will arrive as a novelty: Apple Books to listen to audiobooks, Calculator, Voice Notes that will allow you to create them from the iPhone itself, and some new health applications to control the taking of medicines ( Dose) and women's menstrual cycle (Cycles).
New spheres will also arrive from Apple, some simpler based on colors with different gradients, others focused on improving accessibility for patients with visual problems who will have larger numbers, another based on the famous "California" dial that combines Roman numerals with Arabic numerals, another dial based on watches solar and another with large complications that can show more information.
Other new features of iOS 13
We already commented in another article a first preview of what iOS 13 will bring, with the night mode that many users demand so much or the new multitasking for the iPad, as well as a new way to manage the files of external memories connected to USB-C , or the new application that will unify «Find my iPhone» and «Find my friends». New details now appear in the same Bloomberg post, such as a new Reminders app that will be completely redesigned, or the ability to customize the iMessage profile picture.
Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will create a new "Sleep" mode that will darken the lock screen, enable Do Not Disturb mode and mute notifications. It will also be integrated with the alarm and the clock, and could also have functions related to a new Apple Watch that had the possibility of monitoring sleep. There will also be improvements to the cameras compatible with HomeKit, allowing you to view past recordings, something impossible right now.
The HomePod will be able to recognize different voices
Bloomberg also notes a novelty with the HomePod, Apple's smart speaker. Right now, any user who orders the HomePod will be able to control it using the account associated with the speaker, something that will change with the next updates. The HomePod will be able to differentiate several voices and depending on who gives the order, the response will be adapted to the account that is associated with that person, thus achieving personalized actions.
