watchOs 9 brings the full Spanish keyboard to the Apple Watch

The next update for Apple Watch will bring a functionality that many of us expected: the QWERTY keyboard available in the Spanish language, until now reserved exclusively for English.

The update for Apple Watch that will arrive this fall has focused on connectivity, as Apple itself acknowledged during the presentation, and to the improvements in Messages we must add a novelty that many of us have been waiting for months. Apple introduced along with the Apple Watch Series 7 a full QWERTY keyboard. It seemed a bit ridiculous to have a full keyboard on such a small screen, but Apple promised that the typing experience was exceptional. However, all of us who wrote in a language other than English could not use the keyboard, so we had to wait.

Well, the wait already has an end date, because this fall when watchOS 9 arrives from the hand of iOS 16 we will already have this QWERTY keyboard available. And those of us who are testing the watchOS 9 Beta can already try it, and I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by the typing experience on such a small keyboard. You can type by pressing key by key, or by swiping on the screen, like on the iPhone keyboard. And although the precision when touching the keys is not the same as on the iPhone, the autocorrect system works really well "guessing" in most cases what you wanted to write. You can also quickly choose words to correct them, and the keyboard offers you suggestions, just like the iPhones keyboard including emojis.

It's hard to believe that such a small screen can accommodate so many keys and options, and moreover, that you can choose them precisely, but the reality is that everything works surprisingly well. Remember that in addition to the full keyboard you can use dictation, a faster function that also works really well.
