The Apple Watch Series 4 seems to have appeared with a design very similar to current models, as expected, but with a larger screen thanks to having reduced the frames, as has already happened with the iPhone X. However, the look of the watch is very different thanks to the dial that we can see in the image.
A dial reminiscent of the one we already know from watchOS 4 but which includes a completely unusual number of complications so far. It seems that Apple might have realized that Apple Watch users want to see as much information as possible at a glance. What are these complications that we can see? We explain them thanks to these images by Andre Ohara (@Andrew_OSU).
Timer
The complication of the timer so far the only thing I did was give you access to this function, but in which we can see in this supposed new Apple Watch it also has a progress bar and shows the remaining time.
Time
The time complication shows us the temperature, but as with the previous complication, in the new Apple Watch also shows us a color graph in which we can see the minimum and maximum expected temperature, also reflecting the current temperature in the graph.
Upcoming appointments
Taking advantage of the circumference of the analog clock, instead of the typical numbering of the hours, what we see in the upper part of this new dial is the next appointment we have at 12 noon.
Calendar
Just below that next appointment we find a well-known complication, the Calendar. But your location is new, since right now it is not possible to place it right in the middle of the sphere.
Music
A complication with which we can interact through the crown of our Apple Watch. Turning it we can control the volume, and that red circle around the musical note will increase or decrease depending on the volume set. Its location is also new,
Activity
There is little to explain about this complication that is already more than known to all, although again with a new location, occupying the right quadrant of the sphere.
Astronomy
A complication that show the globe with illumination that it receives from the sun at that moment. You should be able to change it to the moon with the corresponding moon phase.
Ultraviolet Index
It could be one of the novelties of the Apple Watch Series 4, which would incorporate the ability to detect UV (ultraviolet) index. With a scale that begins at 0 and has no upper bound, indices above 3 already pose a greater risk of damage from sunburn, depending on the type of skin you have. Very useful information for personal health and for the little ones in the house, especially in summer.
Sunset
The last complication reflects the time of sunset and the time remaining for it to occur. It is not something essential for most and it is curious that Apple places it in the sphere that will serve for the presentation of the new Apple Watch, but it will have its reasons.
Nine complications
In a sphere in which right now we can only place four complications, Apple shows us a total of nine. And not only are they more than double, but some of them also show more information than they currently offer. A way that I personally find great to offer more information at a glance, which is just what I ask for the Apple Watch. Will there be more spheres? Will they be exclusive to the Apple Watch Series 4? In just over a week we will know.
These new complications will be exclusive to the new watch for the rest of the watches surely not, they will shield themselves from the bigger screen, you know.
What about the ICA complication? What $% is? I activate it but nothing comes out, and when I press it it goes to "Time".
