What to do if your iPhone is stolen?

We are not going to give you solutions to recover it but something very useful in the event that it is stolen.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has implemented a security system that can erase all the data on your iPhone in the event that it is stolen. This function complements the code lock. This code must be entered every time you want to unlock the iPhone to use it (it can be configured so that it only asks for it after a certain time since the last unlock). If someone you try to enter the code incorrectly more than 10 times, all your data will be automatically deleted of the iPhone. If by mistake a friend or family member takes your iPhone and you try to enter the code and the data is erased, you will only have to synchronize your iPhone with iTunes to restore it from the stored backup.

This function is very useful for users who use the iPhone for work, but also for regular use because, would you like anyone to see your contacts, your emails, your SMS, etc.?

The function can be activated in Settings> General> Code lock. It is also implemented in the iPod Touch.

    Thank you for the report. I have a couple of doubts, I use my iPhone to work and I have it locked with code:

    1- If the iPhone cannot be accessed due to the code lock, do you know what is the need to erase the data?

    2- I would like to know what type of bad code entry deletes it, 10 consecutive or 10 throughout a history. I think it is important because if we are going to be away from an iTunes backup (for example on a trip) and we are for the failed attempt # 9 (of a relative or oneself), I think it should be able to be reset.

    Thanks, Max

    1- Well, I suppose that so that I cannot be testing a thousand times until the code is correct.
    2-I guess 10 consecutive. If someone writes it 8 times wrongly, then you write it correctly, and the next day they also write it 8 times wrongly, they do not add to the previous 8 times, you have already unlocked it before.

    Faced with this problem, I have tried an option that is quite good: iLocalis.

    It is a Spanish development, Antonio Calatrava, which allows us, among other things:
    -> Locate where our iphone was, and is, in the last hours.
    -> Share your location with whoever you want.
    -> Control your iphone remotely.
    -> Send free sms to your friends
    Apart from the next product roadmap, among other things, we have:
    -> Backup device configuration
    -> Deletion of all content so that no one can access the data and contacts that we have saved.

    Hello, for those who stole their Iphone because the immediate solution is to report the IMEI, it is a number that comes on the back of the equipment box. This IMEI is unique in the world by which your device manages to connect to a mobile network. Report this number to the operator of your city and the iPhone is completely useless. Of course, the operators do not want you to make these complaints because they are only interested in you buying a new one. LOCK YOUR IPHONE and leave the thief crying !!!

      If you look, put it in your mom's ass and then you squeeze the chiches right away, a ticket with the code will come out through her gate so you can unlock it.
      Luck !!
