Apart from buying technology, users buy a "brand" and I at least demand a minimum of performance, finishes and features. An iPhone of 600 euros cannot be a piece of plastic whatever they wear. As I also say that 700 euros of the galaxy s on duty for another piece of plastic do not convince me.
Many say that Apple is an expensive brand but it is that all high-end mobiles are at the same price, 600-700 euros, only that some for me (iPhone 5s, HTC one ...) deserve that price.
Whatever Apple does this year in September, I just hope they don't go overboard with a mobile with an exaggerated screen (4.7 I see it well), that they continue to pamper the design to the last detail, that IOS8 and OSX continue to improve (they are on the right track for me with these new functions presented in the wwdc), and that they maintain the price of 700 euros (man if they want to lower it I will not complain haha) which is fine for a mobile that is supposed to be the best in the market according to them and for me if it is not at least compete among the best.
So desperately have they copied others that just take a look at ios 7/8, a crappy copy of android and windows phone.
Apple was, in the past, an image company, after what they have done with ios 7/8 and the iphone 5c, it is just one more of the bunch.
Well, to my iOS 7 it seems wonderful, and the changes that have been made in iOS 8 for developers (I am a computer engineering student) as well. The iPhone 5c if I admit that I do not understand what they were trying to do with it, maybe they wanted to try new materials or I do not know, it does not seem like a launch worthy of Apple.
I have to say that Windows Phone I have not had the opportunity to test it thoroughly, but Android for me is the Windows of mobile phones, it is an OS made to install on any machine. Normal that it is not as optimized as iOS, although I also tell you that making an OS based on Java is a total shit because of how this language works.
Let's see what they do this year at the end of the summer, I'm going to trust them, I hope they realize that the iPhone has to evolve as Android and Windows Phone have evolved, which in recent times have done so impressively.
If iOS or OSX does not work on any computer, it is because Apple does not want it, not because of components, or performance, simply compatibility. Hackintosh a pc, see what happens. It is a stable system because it is made and designed for your systems.
I have already had a hackintosh with iAtkos, but no point of comparison. Apple designs for specific components and that is much easier. Windows has to support many more sets of processor instructions, graphics ... Apple doesn't, and it shows in performance (at least in Photoshop, after effects, ableton live ...).
As for stability, I have at least had a bad experience with crashes without much sense to me, although it depends on the configurations of the pc of each one.
With iOS more of the same, and that is why with less memory, less processor gains in user experience to Android, apart from the fact that the thread that manages the graphical interface is the one that runs with the highest priority.
It is not bad, they are just ways of making different devices, focused on different users.
Nobody has thought that the 5,5 could be made of plastic to make it cheaper and put it on a par with the 4,7, it would be a good strategy, don't you think?

It all depends on what you want, if you want a terminal with low-quality parts, without excellent finishes and with a very sensitive operating system, then buy an android like the famous Samsung Galaxy, which cost relatively the same price as an iphone but they are not able to meet the high standards of apple products.
