WhatsApp backtracks with the acceptance of privacy policies

WhatsApp

At the moment, the blocking of accounts and use of the application is canceled for all those who do not accept the privacy policies of the application. So that the WhatsApp messaging application has just announced that it will not be necessary to accept these new privacy conditions.

The deadline to accept the conditions of the application ended next Saturday, May 15, but it finally seems that those users who refused to accept the new WhatsApp conditions will not suffer any type of limitation in its use, at least for now.

We do not doubt that some things will change from now on

The refusal of millions of users of this application to accept the new conditions imposed in an imperative way raised a lot of excitement on the Internet and even in the traditional media. Surely WhatsApp will end up doing this step sooner or later and forcing users to accept its conditions to use this app, but now for the moment everything has stopped.

While it is true users belonging to the European Union were covered by the data protection law, the rest of the world had to accept the WhatsApp conditions on May 15 to continue using the application. In the case of not accepting these conditions, the company affirmed that it would limit the use to exclusively the reception of messages and little else ... Finally, this has stopped and its acceptance will not be necessary for the moment.

On the other hand, we do not know what will happen to those who have already accepted these conditions of use, although it is true that surely there will be no going back and WhatsApp (Facebook) will use this data at will as well they affirm in The Next Web.
