The most popular messaging application is finally preparing to include the profile photos of the person who sends us a message in the notifications, and we can already see it in its Beta.
If we receive a message through iMessage, Apple's messaging platform, we can see the sender's profile image. The same happens if we receive it through Telegram. If the message comes from a group, then the profile image that we will see will be that of the group in question. This which seems basic is not yet implemented in WhatsApp, but at last it seems this is going to end as we have just seen in the version of WhatsApp Beta that has just arrived at TestFlight.
The well-known messaging application, the most popular in many countries in the world, is already trying to include user profile images in the notifications we receive on our iPhone and Apple Watch. As you can see in the header image, my message notifications include Miguel's photo, which is not that it is seen at a magnificent resolution but it does serve to quickly identify who the sender is without having to read the name. As in other applications, if the message is received to a group, the profile image that we will see will not be that of the sender but that of the group to which it was sent.
This novelty at the moment is only available in those who are testing the WhatsApp Beta. Hopefully it will take less than the expected iPad application, which we have been talking about for years and that WhatsApp seemed to have almost ready. Once this feature is available to everyone, you will not have to do anything to activate itIt will be the way in which you will receive notifications of the messages you receive.
