All the novelties in test state in WhatsApp are a continuum in the development of the application. There are dozens of functions that are in beta mode and we do not know if they will see the light of day officially or if they will remain as a simple test. This is not a bad thing as WhatsApp is constantly developing to introduce new tools and features to improve the user experience. One of those latest additions is a new design for the user or contact profile in WhatsApp. When we access the information of a contact in WhatsApp, we will now see a renewed design with larger buttons and direct access to the search in their chat.
A new design for the user profile in the public beta of WhatsApp
The new WhatsApp user profile design is available for some public beta users. The new design is what you can see in the image that heads the article extracted from BetaInfo. Does it ring a bell? It is likely since WhatsApp Business already acquired a similar design last August.
In this design, the user's image is at the top with a larger size, just below the phone number or the name of the contact that we have in our agenda. The novelty lies in the breadth of the buttons and a new direct access to the message search engine in the chat itself.
As a novelty we find that this new design is available for some public beta users. That is, not all those enrolled in the program are having access to the new design while other users with the standard version already have access to the new user profile of WhatsApp.
This would indicate that it is very likely that this design will reach the public version in a very short time since the test period was already on WhatsApp Business last summer. And from the general headquarters of the app they consider that the change was for the better and they want to incorporate it into the profile of all users.
