Messaging apps are constantly evolving, integrating new technology that manages to attract more users. WhatsApp has been working for several months on many functions in its beta version that will see the light in the coming months. Many of those features They are still being tested but one of the most important is the option of being able to use other devices to send messages without having our mobile on. Today we know that WhatsApp is integrating a new function in its beta version: a group icon editor, that allows you to avoid having those icons with a gray background that are so hated.
WhatsApp will avoid blank group icons
Currently when a group of several people is created in WhatsApp a gray icon with three silhouettes of people. This indicates that there has been no prior customization. To be able to modify the group image, just click on the conversation settings and click on the camera icon to search for an image on the Internet or on our mobile device.
This changes in the new beta version introduced by WhatsApp in the last hours, detected by BetaInfo. This new function is a group icon editor that allows the user not have to leave the gray icon empty. This editor allows you to modify the background color and enter emojis. There is also a section that allows you to add stickers instead of emojis. This will give a lively touch to group icons that do not have a custom image.
If you have the beta version of WhatsApp on iOS you can check if you have the function activated by clicking on the camera icon within the group image. If you have it, a new option called 'Emoji & Stickers' will appear with which you can activate the editor and color the group image.
