In this way we could learn more about the common interests that we have, or some contact that we share without knowing it, due to the fact that not all of us participate in the groups on a daily basis. It is clear that the fact that Whatsapp show groups in common with your contacts in the next update it will not involve major changes within the application itself, or the functions that it already supports. However, it could be a push forward to the functionality of instant messaging groups and incidentally be one more way to discover how we are connected with our contacts.
