Fuf !! I am loving it… I was able to install it on my iPod touch 2G 8GB model MC. Only it was not as simple as any update.
1- I tried to do the direct procedure that the official page marks, but it did not work, it only remained frizzy / stuck in the middle of the installation.
2- What I did was put it back in Restore Mode, and restore in iTunes officially, as if it were to update, for example; the new ipsw was downloaded, installed and everything was fine.
3- Later, instead of configuring it as a new iPod and blablabla, I put it back in DFU with the iReb, and now, I did the procedure again with the ipsw provided by the whited00r website; It took a while, but finally everything settled.
EYE!! Because it is based on version 3.1.3, it did not allow me to restore the settings with iTunes, as I had it in version 4.2.1; so if they have important phone numbers, or other data, they have to take it out manually, and then put it back manually.

I did it to my iPhone 3G and it looks rpespectscular and it works super fast go to YouTube and put whited00r in Spanish there is a super tutorial.
It also took me a while to install it to my iPod touch 2g mc 8g and I followed your steps ... But I did the same, first I tried iTunes in recovery mode (the same and if it left me) but I made an error I don't remember the number but I left it like that My iPod crashed and I had to restore it with its ios 4.2.1, I did not configure it as new either, I just disconnected it…. Then I put it in DFU mode (black screen) manually I did not use ired, when itunes recognized it I restored it with ipsw and did the same thing as if I had restored it with your ios ... Then it just crashed and I thought it was useless I left it a for a while and then finally I start and vualaaa I have it installed. It works very well even though the Apple store almost won't let me download anything ... I haven't tried with cydia ... But I am satisfied because with apptimemachine I have downloaded games, programs and more ... I liked this very cool ...

2. You cannot install your cracked applications compatible with ios 3.1.3 (not from iTunes or even using iFunbox). The only way is by downloading them from the Time Machine APP, or by copying your cracked applications in the path (private / var / mobile / downloads) in installing them from Time Machine.
3. My favorite game "STREET FIGHTER IV" doesn't work, the only one that made it perfect for my old ipod touch.
4. The MULTITASK, usually hangs up and sends the equipment to SAFE MODE (safe mode). "I want to delete it"
