Wikipedia has released the version 5.7.3 of its application in the App Store available for both iPhones and iPads. It should be noted that this application has an extension for iMessages, for those of you who use the Big Apple messaging app. Although there are not many new features in this new version, they are interesting for those of you who are faithful to Wikipedia:
- Dark mode: This dark mode is perfect for the OLED screens of your iPhone X since, as I have mentioned before, when the pixels of these screens are in black, they turn off reducing consumption compared to if the same content is consulted in Safari.
- Faster article loading: The images and audiovisual content of the entries will only be loaded when the content is going to be seen and not before, so the articles will load faster and less mobile data will be consumed.
These are the two transcendental improvements of this new version of Wikipedia that is dedicated more to the iPhone X although the dark mode is available on all platforms and it looks really good.
