Many editors use the sacred Bible from Wikipedia to consult data when preparing an article. I think by now you know perfectly what it represents and the amount of information that we can find in it. Wikipedia has an application for iOS, which allows us to access all its content quickly and easily, without having to use the terrible web version of our iPhone. This application has been updated adding new features and taking advantage of the new capabilities of the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, such as 3D Touch technology.
This latest version offers us a completely renewed interface that focuses information on exploration of results contrary to what happened with the previous version.
Main new features of version 5.0 of Wikipedia
- Like the web version, when accessing the application, we can access various shortcuts to the article of the day, top articles, image of the day, nearby articles ...
- Improved navigation thanks to technology integration 3D Touch and Peek & Pop functions.
- Integration with Spotlight so that it is easier to search from the Spotlight among the articles that we have saved on our device.
- Save articles to read later, just like we can do with applications like Pocket, Instapaper Read it later.
- We can perform searches in any language.
- Interface completely renovated.
Currently Wikipedia offers us more than 1.233.000 articles available only in Spanish. If we cannot find what we are looking for in our language, we can turn to the English version since it has more than 5 million articles with which we can surely satisfy our intellectual curiosity.
