The day that many of you have been waiting for since the Jailbreak for iOS 7 came out has finally arrived: Winterboard has already been optimized for iOS 7, and it is also compatible with the iPhone 5s and all devices with the new A7 processor, in addition to the rest of the "old" devices. Saurik has released this update today, and owners of some of the new Apple devices and can customize them with the themes that can be found in Cydia. For those who do not know, Winterboard is a free Cydia application that allows you to radically change the appearance of iOS, as you can see in the image that heads the article. Its operation is quite simple.
Once Winterboard is installed (free, available in the Cydia / Telesphoreo repo), we will only have to download a theme that we like, either by doing a search in Cydia, or by going directly to "Sections / Themes". IOS 7 users should bear in mind that the theme must be adapted to this new version of iOS, and iPhone 5s users must also use themes adapted to their device. In the image you can find one of the best themes (in my opinion) adapted to iOS 7 and iPhone 5s, called 0bscure (with zero). Once the theme is downloaded, we access Winterboard, either through the springboard icon or from the System Settings, click on "Select Themes" and choose the theme. We respring and we can see the final result.
There are several important things to keep in mind: not all topics have the same quality, and not all include the icons of all applications. The highest quality (generally paid) include the icons for native iOS applications, and for the most common applications in the App Store (Facebook, Dropbox, WhatsApp ...), as well as the most important Cydia applications (Cydia itself , iFile ...) but it may be the case that the icon of an application that we have installed is not included. Another fundamental aspect when deciding to install Winterboard is that it costs extra battery. Whether it is worth installing or not depends on the preferences of each one.
