With iOS 14 the AirPods have optimized charge

Optimized Loading

This is going to be a week where we will discover many new features hidden in the new firmwares of Apple devices that are presented in the WWDC 2020. Yesterday at the presentation, Tim Cook and his collaborators showed us some of these novelties, the most striking and significant, but there are many more.

Apple has already released the first betas of the new developer firmwares. Many of them are already testing them on their devices, and now the "trickle" of new discoveries in such testing software is beginning. One of these discoveries is the new optimized load that the AirPods will have.

All of us who have an iPhone already know the optimized charging function that Apple introduced in iOS 13 last year. This same system of controlling the battery charge, was implemented in macOS to help the macBook only a couple of weeks ago.

Well, after testing the first beta of iOS 14, it was discovered that the optimized loading function has also finally reached the AirPods.

For example, when you have updated your iPhone to iOs 14, if you regularly remove the AirPods from the charger at 8 in the morning, a charge of the 80% throughout the night, and shortly before 8 o'clock it will reach 100%.

With this type of charge control, you ensure that you have a greater volume of accumulated energy in your battery, and the interval of use of your device will be longer. It also helps preserve health of your battery, enduring more total cycles at full capacity.

It was first established last year in the iPhone. A couple of weeks ago, it was the turn of the MacBook. And now it comes to AirPods. Let's wait a few days to see if in the iPadOS and watchOS betas we also see it in the iPads and Apple Watch.
