Microsoft released an update to its Office programs on the App Store, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. These productivity apps now feature comment editing, file renaming, quick page-to-page flipping, and much more. Different changes have been released to Word, Excel and PowerPoint with full support for the new iOS 9, split view mode on the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4. Also multitasking, useful shortcuts on iPads with wireless keyboards, location and other benefits.
Changes in Word 1.14 for iOS.
New in this update:
- New fonts when you need them: Do you miss fonts in a document? Word automatically downloads them when you need them.
- Quickly jump from one page to another: Hold down and drag to go directly to the page you need.
- Rename a file: You can now name a Word document directly from the Open or Recent tab.
Other recent improvements are:
- Bi-Directional and Complex Scripting Languages: Now supports bi-directional text editing and complex writing for Arabic, Hebrew, and Thai.
- Protected view for documents: Access permissions for open documents.
- Easier to share: invite people to edit a document and grant them permissions, all from within the application.
- Outlook integration: edit a document attached to an Outlook email message. When you are done, the updated document will be attached to a new email message ready to send.
- New storage options: open, edit and save your work in iCloud and other online storage services. (requires at least iOS 8)
- New templates - Create great Word documents faster using one of the new default templates.
- Word Add-ins: add functionality to Word that enhance your documents and help increase your productivity. (iPad only, requires iOS 8.2 or later).

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint currently lack Apple Watch support, are not compatible with Touch 3D on the new iPhones, and have not yet been optimized for the reduced download sizes feature.
I am trying to update excel and the download does not start. The problem is that, now, the excel that I had installed closes only when trying to open it.
