Hours later, Xcode has been updated to version 6.1 including the SDK (development environment) for OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1, so that developers can make use of the codes created by Apple to create specific apps for OS X 10.10 and the recently released iOS 8.1. Remember that Xcode is a program created and marketed by the Big Apple that allows us to create applications, and if we have a developer account, be able to upload apps to both the Mac App Store and the App Store.
New SDKs in the new version of Xcode: OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1
First things first: Xcode is a platform that Apple offers developers to create, code, debug, and publish applications, all in a unified workflow. Xcode uses the codes Cocoa, Cocoa Touch and Swift (Apple's programming code), to create applications compatible with devices of the big apple.
On this day, It has been updated to version 6.1 with very interesting news:
- OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1: The working environments for these new operating systems have been included. First OS X Yosemite, version 10 of OS X, the Mac operating system; and iOS 8.1, the new big update released yesterday.
- Storyboards on Mac: The user interface in the storyboard has now been unified and allows us to see it in a single canvas, so that the design is more fluid and practical.
- Swift: A command line has been included with the "Swift" tool, now it is much easier to develop with this code.
- Xcode debugger enhancements
