You can listen to music on your Apple Watch without the iPhone

Apple-Watch-Music

The Apple Watch is made for the iPhone, it is its perfect complement, but also its great limitation. There are many users who They see a device of this type useless that barely offers a couple of functions that the iPhone does not have. "If I have to carry my iPhone, why do I want the Apple Watch?" Is something that we have been able to hear and read many times these days. It is a statement that I do not share at all, and I say it after carrying a Pebble with me for months, a smartwatch with much fewer functions than the Apple Watch. It seems that Apple left some things in the hat, because although the presentation and the video of the Apple Watch was quite long, there is information on the web that was not talked about, such as the possibility of listening to music without having to the iPhone close.

Taking into account that it does not have 3G connectivity, how is this possible? We do not know the details, but the Apple Watch must have enough storage capacity to save our playlist and be able to transmit it to our bluetooth headphones that we have connected (remember that it does not have a headphone jack). Obviously, some configuration process will have to be carried out to transfer that music from our iPhone to Apple Watch. Rumors prior to its presentation spoke of 8GB of internal storage, although in Apple's Keynote nothing was mentioned about this.

Will this function be available for third party apps like Spotify? Or will Apple reserve it exclusively for its iTunes and its Music app? It would be a great point in favor for the Apple Watch, although we would also have to see the impact of about 30 minutes of music playback on the device's battery, especially if we have the habit of doing it at the end of the day, when its capacity is already quite depleted. What other surprises will Apple have in store for us about its smartwatch? I think that between now and its launch in early 2015, we will continue to discover new things about this device.

I imagine, that it will be able to store the information, in case of exercising with it (since it is supposed to be for that) and then when you connect it with your iPhone that data is synchronized to store it along with the rest of the statistics
