You can now give books away through iBooks

iBooks-Gift

A good idea to give something this Christmas can be to do it "electronically". The other day we told you how could applications be given away from a computer with iTunes or from your own iOS device, iPad or iPhone. with the undoubted objective of taking advantage of this Christmas campaign, Apple you have decided to allow books to be gifted from your iBooks app, available for iOS and for Mac OS X, something that until now could not be done.

The procedure is practically identical to that of gifting applications. We must access the iBooks store, select the book we want to give away, and click on the button in the upper right corner (the square with the arrow). Once this is done, we must select the "Gift" option. From here what we have to do is follow the steps indicated, indicating the recipient's Apple ID among other information, and the gift will arrive on the date we indicate.

As I say, the option is also available from iBooks for Mac, an application that first came to the desktop version of Apple's operating system, with the launch of OS X Mavericks for free for all users from Apple with compatible devices.

Were you thinking of buying a book to give away this Christmas? Well, if the recipient has an iPad or plans to acquire one around this time, you can consider doing it in this convenient and fast way. Although you may be one of those who prefer the touch and smell of a physical book, or those who prefer to have a library that, in addition to entertaining, helps decorate the living room. What do you prefer? ¿The book of a lifetime, an eReader or your iPad? Give us your opinion in the comments to this post.
