Not long ago I was talking about an alternative to the official YouTube application (since the version produced many sudden exits): mctube. An application with a "retro" design but that offers us many functions that the official YouTube does not offer us, such as: choose video quality, an interesting function that I think is a must in any application to watch videos.
Yesterday, Youtube decided to release an update for iOS devices with quite interesting news in addition to solving the errors of spontaneous exits of the application. Thanks to this update, the application modifies its design to a cleaner and more solid one in addition to modifying the Youtube logo (visible in the application icon).
New Design
In this Youtube update 2.0 There is no exhaustive redesign, but there is an improvement in the colors, the fluidity of the application and the menus. Let's see some improvements in the design of the application that I have recognized while I have used it:
- The icons to find and hide the menu have been changed for simpler ones
- Some icons of YouTube categories have also been changed
- The menu has a grayer background and the menu showing the videos has changed to a lighter gray (previously it was white)
- The comment bar appears to the right of the video
- The description of the video appears just below the video
- Information about the person who uploaded the video (their channel) appears just above the comment section.
Youtube surprises: mini screen and simultaneous search
Until now in the YouTube application we could only see one video and, if we left the video, we would stop watching it. With this new update, when we want to look for a new video without losing sight of the one we are watching, we can do it.
How?
- We access a video
- We lower a finger on the video and a mini screen with the video will be placed in the lower right part of the screen
- The video continues to play while we search for another one through the search engine, subscribed channels or history
- If we want to stop watching the video that is on the mini screen, we just have to move a finger to the left of the screen. We will stop watching the video and the mini screen will be deactivated.
¡Update Youtube for your iDevice! Recommended one hundred percent.

The truth is that I liked putting the thumbnail video down. Will one day take the option to keep the video playing without the application open?
Or the possibility of choosing the quality of the videos ...
YouTube stopped being what it was on the iPad when Apple decided to remove the native application ... Little by little it will improve.

That is already possible with VideoPlane (jailbreak). Very recommendable.
Well, it bothered me, before I could copy a video from a group and now it won't let me, I have a cooking channel and I can't show my videos
