YouTube is an application in which we can find any video, whatever the subject. YouTube has become the main source of information for many users when looking for a solution to the problem they are facing. But on YouTube we can not only find videos of any subject, but we can also find a large number of videos designed to entertain the little ones while they learn.
To try to encourage the use of YouTube among the little ones, Google launched YouTube Kids a couple of years ago, an application that only shows videos for the smallest of the house, although being an automatic service, some other video not suitable for the little ones can sneak in.
Google has just released a new update to this application, an update in which it will finally allow several children to use it without having to continually change the settings the type of videos they can watch depending on their age. Thanks to the profiles, we can add as many profiles as small children we have at home, so that everyone can customize the type of content they want to see, protecting their access with a password.
What's new in the new YouTube Kids update
- Child profiles to personalize your children's experience: You can now create a profile for each of your children. Even better, children's profiles work on all different devices!
- App design adapted to the age of your child: When you write a date of birth in the child's profile, YouTube Kids changes the appearance of the application. Younger kids will get less text, while older kids will get more content on the home screens.
- A new setup process: The new parental setup process will give you detailed information to help you make the right decisions for your family before your children use the app.
- Access code for children: Children can set a secret code to enter their profile (and keep their brother or sister out of the network). Don't worry, you can always override your access code.
The YouTube Kids app not available worldwide, but in a small group of countries among which in addition to Spain, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Peru.
