Estas son todas las revistas que podemos encontrar en Apple News+

Después de muchos meses de rumores, en la tarde de ayer (hora española) los chicos de Cupertino presentaron oficialmente lo que será el servicio de suscripción de revistas, un servicio denominado Apple News+, para separarlo del servicio de noticias que ofrece actualmente a través de Apple News. De momento, este nuevo servicio de suscripción está disponible únicamente en Estados Unidos y Canadá.

Según afirmó la compañía con sede en Cupertino, el servicio de suscripción de revistas Apple News+ llegará en otoño a Reino Unido para posteriormente expandirse a otros países de habla inglesa como Australia y más tarde a más países. Hay que tener en cuenta que Apple tiene que llegar a un acuerdo con las principales editores de cada país de forma independiente.

El servicio de suscripción Apple News+ tiene un precio de 9,99 dólares mensuales y nos ofrece acceso a casi 300 publicaciones de una forma muy cómoda y sencilla, tanto en dispositivos gestionados por iOS como de nuestro Mac. Los usuarios que han tenido la oportunidad de probarlo, afirman que el formato de la aplicación es similar al de News pero adaptado a revistas en formato PDF.

Si resides en Estados Unidos y tienes la intención de probar este nuevo servicio de suscripción que ya está disponible en ambos países, es probable que en primer lugar quieras conocer cuales son las publicaciones americanas que han pasado por el aro de Apple y ofrecen sus revistas a través de este nuevo servicio de suscripción de Apple.

A pesar de que durante la presentación Apple anunció que podíamos encontrar acceso a 300 publicaciones, de momento, y según ha podido recopilar Federico Viticci, tan solo podemos encontrar 251 publicaciones, una lista que probablemente se incrementará conforme vayan pasando las semanas ya que de momento no cuenta con algunos de los principales diarios de Estados Unidos y que algunas editoriales todavía no han lanzado sus últimos números.

De las 251 revistas disponibles, 125 de ellas utilizan el formato de Apple News, en el que se pueden mostrar imágenes en movimiento como pudimos ver en la presentación mientras que el resto, han adoptado en sistema de PDF tradicional, mismo formato utilizado en la plataforma que Apple compró hace unos meses, Texture, y que ha rebautizado con el nombre de Apple News+.

Dependiendo de los ingresos que pueda generar Apple News+ entre los editores, es probable que los que todavía utilizan el formato PDF para ofrecer sus publicaciones en Apple News+  adopten el formato enriquecido que Apple pone a su disposición.
