Hello!
I have an iPhone 3Gs that yesterday I did the Jalibrake with ultrasn0w 1.2, it goes very well, without problems. Now yes, it is from Movistar and I would like to release it to use it with another company 🙂,
the baseband is 05.15.04, it was released before, but they had to change it to AppleCare and they gave me a new one with this baseband, could it be released?
Dake, on this page they tell you if you can do the jail and release depending on the models, firmwares and basebands of each iphone. In your case, I think it is releasable, but see for yourself:

Thank you Gnzl for your time, you are very great!
The iPod Touch 2G is also supported by Greenp0ison. You have not put it !!
Thanks, I'll see you later at home ... One thing, now it puts me on the 3G that is "looking" for the network and does not connect to Movistar, what could have happened? Has the sim been fried or what can it be?
It is very good to know it easily and quickly, but you forgot the iPad ..
We did not forget the iPad:

Very good post, great summary !!! gnzl
Excellent work!
What I am not so clear about is that it is worth updating to 4.2.1 from my iphone 4 with 4.1, which works great ... am I missing something important with this version?
regards!
Above all find my iphone
Onio thanks for the link, I see that there is more to lose than to gain, by uploading the baseband as it comes in the link that you give me, I lose the iPhone warranty and I don't like that very much, since I have the apple care for three years…. I am going to see if in a while it is easier to free the phone…. The issue is that I left Movistar and paid the penalty, they should release me but there is no way, they have me!
Thank you all!!
@Dake the iPhone is released to finish the stay, if you have gotten away before ending it even though pages do not release it. So they have told me.
@Gnzl: but that forces to have the GPS always active, right? if so, it is a constant battery drain difficult to justify, don't you think?
regards
The iPhone 4 turns off the GPS and turns it on automatically when you need it, so there is no more wasting battery, when find my iPhone asks for location it will turn on the GPS.
Man, that changes things a lot. Thanks for the clarification. Even so, I think I'll wait for the next version ... mostly out of laziness ... you know, if something works, don't touch it xD
Hello, I have a problem, I have updated to 4.2.1 from 4.1 more than anything to find my iphone but I realize that when trying to activate the face time it stays in waiting for activation and does not activate it and before with 4.1 if I could have any suggestions that is not the most logical.
Hi, I have an iPhone 4 (AT&T) that I bought with firmware 4.1 and baseband 2.10.04. As far as I understand I can't release it 🙁
Can I put the 4,2 without modifying the firmware and be able to release it in the future when ultrasn0w comes out for 2.10.04 ??? Do I need the SHSH ??? I hope someone can help me 🙂
Thanks for the page and the summary 😉
I am on version 4.1, but if I install the ipad baseband 06.15.00, would I run out of gps? I say it to be able to release it: S or better I wait?
Is there any method and in case of affirmative how? to jailbreak and release an iphone 3gs ios 4.2.1 with the modem of that version and make it unthetered.
I went to use redsnow the latest version and I think it does thetered and gren…. the latter does not modify baseband to the ipad dl. do you know something?
or do I have any failures?
help please !!!
and very good post !!!
As always, Excellent all your work gonza !!! regards
Very good summary, what if, in the 3GS issue it includes the new bootrom (MC) or just the old one?
Hello I have the iphone 4, version 4.2.1, download the greenpoison program, for windows, I follow the instructions and in principle the mobile does everything perfect ... but the loader icon does not appear.
What am I doing wrong?
