Després de molts mesos de rumors, ahir a la tarda (hora espanyola) els nois de Cupertino van presentar oficialment el que serà el servei de subscripció de revistes, un servei anomenat Apple News+, per separar-lo del servei de notícies que ofereix actualment a través d'Apple News. De moment, aquest nou servei de subscripció està disponible únicament als Estats Units i al Canadà.

Segons va afirmar la companyia amb seu a Cupertino, el servei de subscripció de revistes Apple News+ arribarà a la tardor al Regne Unit per posteriorment expandir-se a altres països de parla anglesa com Austràlia i més tard a més països. Cal tenir en compte que Apple ha darribar a un acord amb les principals editors de cada país de forma independent.

El servei de subscripció Apple News+ té un preu de 9,99 dòlars mensuals. i ens ofereix accés a gairebé 300 publicacions d'una forma molt còmoda i senzilla, tant en dispositius gestionats per iOS com del nostre Mac. Els usuaris que han tingut l'oportunitat de provar-ho, afirmen que el format de l'aplicació és similar al de News però adaptat a revistes en format PDF.

Si resideixes als Estats Units i tens la intenció de provar aquest nou servei de subscripció que ja està disponible als dos països, és probable que en primer lloc vulguis conèixer quines són les publicacions americanes que han passat pel cèrcol dApple i ofereixen les seves revistes a través daquest nou servei de subscripció dApple.

Tot i que durant la presentació Apple va anunciar que podíem trobar accés a 300 publicacions, de moment, i segons ha pogut recopilar Federico Viticci, tan sols podem trobar 251 publicacions, una llista que probablement s'incrementarà a mesura que vagin passant les setmanes ja que de moment no compta amb alguns dels principals diaris dels Estats Units i que algunes editorials encara no han llançat els últims números.

De les 251 revistes disponibles, 125 utilitzen el format d'Apple News, en què es poden mostrar imatges en moviment com vam poder veure a la presentació mentre que la resta, han adoptat en sistema de PDF tradicional, mateix format utilitzat a la plataforma que Apple va comprar fa uns mesos, Texture, i que ha rebatejat amb el nom d'Apple News+.

Depenent dels ingressos que pugui generar Apple News+ entre els editors, és probable que els que encara utilitzen el format PDF per oferir les seves publicacions a Apple News+  adoptin el format enriquit que Apple posa a la vostra disposició.
