iPicar: hide iMessage conversations when unlocking your iPhone

hippopotamus

Have you ever wanted hide some concrete iMessage conversations? Surely yes. It is normal to have conversations that we want to keep private because they are too personal. And what if they could be hidden when unlocking the iPhone? Better than better. iPicar is a Cydia tweak that will allow us to do it.

When we install iPicar, we will have to configure it. The setup is very simple and it is enough to indicate some codes that we will use both to see all the conversations and to hide the ones we want and which conversations (from which contacts) we want to hide.

The first time we are going to use iPicar, we will go to the settings. In the settings we will see two spaces to put our codes. It is recommended to put our normal code in the space above. Below we will put the "magic" code that will make our conversations disappear more sensitive. In "Contacts" we can activate or deactivate the contacts that we want to be shown when we put the second code that we previously configured.

Once configured, we can unlock the iPhone using the normal code, which will allow us to see all the conversations, or using the second code, which will also unlock the iPhone, but will hide the conversations that we do not want anyone to see.

It would be nice if iPicar was compatible with other messaging applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram. For users in the United States, this tweak may be very good, since there is much more iMessage used there, but I specifically do not use iMessage with anyone because I do not have contacts that use it. Maybe in the future it will be possible.
