This is increasingly consolidated by adding one more leg: the glasses operating system. Some code glasses have been leaked that would indicate the name of the system: realityOS. realityOS: Apple's next augmented reality operating system
The information comes from developer Steve Troughton-Smith, who is best known on Twitter for his code analysis and computer science teaching to a general audience. They seem to have found a few lines of code about realityOS, what could be Apple's next operating system. This realityOS it would be its own system with its own code that would be based on iOS just like tvOS or watchOS do.
In fact, traces have also been found that realityOS could have its own developer SDK. This would allow developers to enhance and integrate their tools and applications with Apple's virtual reality glasses. In addition, the operating system would have a specific application store for this type of content.

According to Troughton-smith this is not new since signs of realityOS have been found in iOS code since iOS 13. However, Apple has not decided to take the plunge and launch its first virtual reality glasses. It is likely that these first glasses will be larger than what Apple has accustomed us to and the price of them would also be remarkably high. But the passage of time will lower the production costs of this new product and the glasses will become more affordable. Or at least that is what is predicted.
