During the last weeks, Apple is intensifying its movements in India, to try to speed up as much as possible the necessary procedures so that the Indian authorities allow it to start building Apple Stores to be able to serve the more than one billion inhabitants of the country. As proof of the interest that Apple has in the country, a few weeks ago Apple met with the authorities stating that it had intending to open a research within the Indian Silicon Valley, Hyderabad, a new area where the world's most important technology companies are settling in

Finally Apple officially confirmed this information via The Economic Times:

We have been investing to expand our operations in India and we are delighted to have passionate clients and a brilliant developer community in the country.

This project will cost the boys of Cupertino 25.000 million dollars, will employ 4.500 people during its construction, and will have a size of almost 70.000 square meters. Once the works are completed, the research and development center will employ about 150 people who will be in charge of working on the company's mapping team for now. Although in the future it is not ruled out that in addition to the maps they will work on some project more related to the software.

Apple intends to be able start the works before the end of the year, just at the same time that the works of the new Campus 2 should be finished and those of Cupertino begin to move to the new facilities. As we could see in the video that we showed you a few days ago of the status of the works of Campus 2, it is progressing rapidly, despite the problems and delays that the company has had due to differences with the organization of the work but they have finally been solved and everything is going according to plan.
