Apple AirPods Get 71% of Wireless Headphone Market Revenue

AirPods

Since Apple announced the first generation of AirPods, no one can deny that at the time they were the best option available in the market, both by design, connectivity and price. However, to this day, despite having excellent options of very good quality at our disposal, they are still the kings of the market.

According to the latest study published by Strategy Analytics, Apple's AirPods continue to capture the majority of the revenue pie from wireless headphones, taking 71%. This same report states that Apple has sold about 60 million AirPods, which represents more than 50% of the total sales of this type of product.

Samsung, Jabra, Bose, Sony… are some of the manufacturers that are launching very good alternatives to AirPods, especially for those users who do not have an iPhone, at prices very similar to what AirPods currently have.

However, the simple connectivity that AirPods offer us is not available in other brands, so at the same price, and practically the same sound quality, iPhone users prefer to invest in an Apple product.

While Strategy Analytics claims that that domain could continue in the future, other analysts affirm the opposite, since new options are being added to the different alternatives available today in the market, so that the variety of products is increasingly wide and can be adapted to more users.

Some rumors suggest that Apple could include the AirPods in next generations of iPhone, rumors that don't make any sense since by themselves they have become an excellent money-making machine. In addition, they are now also available in a noise-canceling version, one of the most demanded functions by AirPods users since the first generation was launched on the market.
