When many users were giving up support for the 3rd generation Apple TV, Apple has just released a new update, version 7.2.1. Apple has not provided exact details of the same, but apparently it includes improvements in the security of the device. This update is compatible with all third-generation Apple TV models and can be installed through Settings or automatically if you have the device configured in this way. This third generation that was launched on the market in 2012 ccontinues to be sold in the market together with the 4th generation Apple TV, what we do not know is the reason.
The 4th generation Apple TV includes the tvOS operating system, a novelty in this device and that allows us to enjoy our own application store, in which we can find from games to applications. Thanks to games, we can convert our Apple TV into a console, saving distances, to be able to enjoy games like Asphalt 8, Recal Racing or Moder Combat 5, although the latter is a bit difficult to control with the Siri Remote.
Instead the third-generation Apple TV offers us very limited optionsSince it does not have its own store, it is not managed by tvOS, and we can only use the applications that Apple automatically installs in each update. Many of these services are paid, and some are only available in the United States.
At least with the arrival of Netflix in Spain and its subsequent expansion in all the countries of the world, except four, we can make use of Apple TV to enjoy our favorite series and movies as well as to be able to show the content of our iPhone and iPad on the big screen our television.
